Holiday Workshops
NOW BOOKING: Easter Holiday 2012
The Playing Space offers a variety of inspiring and fun-filled workshops during school holidays. Holiday workshops for younger children (age 4–7) take place at our beautiful drama studio at Southgate Green, N14.
Afternoon workshops for older children (age 8–12) take place at the delightful Baskervilles Tea Shop, Aldermans Hill, N13, and start and finish half an hour later. Baskervilles Tea Shop is a 15-minute walk or a very short bus/car ride from our Studio. Parents with siblings in both afternoon groups will be able to drop off the younger sibling at 2pm and then the older sibling at 2.30pm. They will be able to watch both presentations on the final day.
The Playing Space holiday workshops are hugely popular with children and parents alike. Our feedback forms are filled with words like “inspiring”, “brilliant” and “wonderful”. Parents often tell us that their children have been talking about drama and nothing else. We also frequently hear of children begging their parents to book them into the next half-term or holiday course!
Our drama games, exercises and activities are designed to encourage teamwork and co-operation. Our holiday groups, who often come from different schools and backgrounds, soon form strong bonds. They love working, playing and eating together! By the end of the course there is a real sense of exhilaration and camaraderie as the children make preparations for the final show and get ready to share their work with Mum, Dad, baby brother, and whoever else has come along.
