This May we will be stepping into the story of Charlotte’s Web. The children will learn the story of Fern, the girl with the big heart who adopts a baby pig. But how long can he stay safe on a farm? Can he be saved again by the wit and brains of a brilliant spider? With loads of amazing characters to learn about, songs, drama and games as well as themed craft activities we are sure to keep your children entertained and happy during their May half-term break.

The workshop will culminate in a short performance for parents at 3pm on Thursday 30th May.

All our workshops incorporate morning and afternoon breaks, as well as a lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch. Water is provided throughout the day.

The Playing Space holiday workshops are hugely popular with children and parents alike. Our feedback forms are filled with words like “inspiring”, “brilliant” and “wonderful”. Parents often tell us that their children have been talking about drama and nothing else. We also frequently hear of children begging their parents to book them into the next half-term or holiday course! Here are just three of the many positive comments we received after our most recent courses:

‘My daughter absolutely loved it. When I talked to her every evening during that week, I could tell how much fun she was having. The organisation was excellent. I will certainly send her to your holiday club again!’

‘Chad is a shy boy, so I was delighted to see him coming out of the club very animated and enthused. He was desperate to return each day, and ever since has frequently asked if he could go to drama rather than school! I would recommend this club to anyone and cannot wait for him to go again. The difference it made to his confidence in just a week was fantastic – but more importantly he thoroughly enjoyed it.’

‘I must congratulate you on the show put on by the children. I came away utterly gobsmacked. The content and overall inventiveness was amazing, and the confidence with which they performed quite astonishing.’

Our drama games, exercises and activities are designed to encourage teamwork and co-operation. Children in our holiday groups, who often come from different schools and backgrounds, soon form strong bonds. They love working, playing and eating together! By the end of the course there is a real sense of exhilaration and camaraderie as the children make preparations for the final show and get ready to share their work with Mum, Dad, baby brother, and whoever else has come along.
