**EXTRA DAY BY POPULAR DEMAND** Creative Writing Workshop | Ages 7 – 10

Owing to huge interest in Holly’s workshop, we have added an extra day!

The Playing Space is very excited to announce that we have teamed up with our amazing drama teacher and published children’s author, Holly Rivers, to run an amazing creative writing workshop. In this fun and interactive full-day session, children will delve into the pages of Holly’s new book ‘The Boy in The Post’, before writing a thrilling short-story of their own.

During the course of the day children will become acquainted with the book’s unique characters, locations and themes, before exploring some of the historical events, rare stamps and unusual animals that inspired the adventure. Then, having learned what makes a good story, they will put pen to paper and write one of their own, with the option of doing a reading if they wish.

Children can be dropped off from 9.30am each day. The drama starts at 10am. Pick-up time is 3.30pm.

All our workshops incorporate morning and afternoon breaks, as well as a lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch. Water is provided throughout the day. Children should wear loose, comfortable clothing and shoes that they can easily put on and take off. Girls, please wear leggings under skirts.
